Our Work:
The Royal Group, a long-established, family-owned home and business security system, locks, glass & door company, originally wanted a roof installation atop their Rutland showroom.  However, structural and roof condition analysis showed that option to be prohibitively expensive.  Instead, we designed and built two ground-mounted solar arrays that would fit within their grounds: a 13.2kW traditional array and a 22.52kW solar carport, designed in partnership with Timberhomes Vermont.  The "roofless" structure was specifically engineered to allow for bifacial solar modules, which create power from the underside in addition to the top surface of the array.   We helped the company create and permit a new parking area prior to the installation and now they have an additional set of covered spaces for their vehicles.
Then-mayor of Rutland, David Allaire presided over a celebratory ribbon-cutting of this innovative project.
