Solar Electrician Apprentice
Applicant Requirements:
Some residential and/or small commercial electrical experience required. Existing Journeyman license, or registered Apprentice a plus.

Solar-related work experience a plus, not required

Experience with installing new and upgrading existing services, wiring main distribution/sub panels (MDP, MLO) and switchgear, building unistrut support structures, running/terminating communication cables (ethernet, RS-485)

DC (low or high voltage) experience a plus, but not required. Must be willing to learn.

IT experience, knowledge of communication protocols a plus

Positive attitude, team player, reliable, on-time

Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and comfortable working with tall ladders and on rooftops (not afraid of, but respectful of heights)

Must have valid driver’s license and own reliable means of transportation

OSHA-10 certification preferred

Background check may be required

Job Responsibilities:
-
Work off electrical design and layout plans to complete installations and system/IT communications troubleshooting

Electrical service work and EV Charger installation as required

Effectively communicate with Master Electrician, operations manager, project manager, crew members, sub-contractors and customer

Assist crew with warehouse and trailer inventory and transporting of equipment to job sites

Installation and wiring of modules, inverter, conduit runs and interconnections

Assisting with permit applications, on-site supervision and attending inspections on commercial projects

Troubleshooting / service calls as needed

Wage commensurate with experience, and growth potential contingent on having/getting VT Journeyman's and eventually Masters's license.
